I have over 20 years of experience and certified credentials, yet I receive only a handful of responses, using this site or others. I find that applying directly to the employer is more effective.

I have been unemployed for over a year now and submitted 1,000's of resumes and listed on way to many job boards. I can count on both of my hands the number of responses I have gotten back. Sure makes you feel worthless and degraded. I have manipulated my resume I don't know how many times and still Nothing. Employers, should at least sent something back to the job seeker. Oh, and another thing, this CONFIDENTIAL company listing is crap. How do they expect to get the best candidate when the candidates that research companies and are directly sending resumes for that position can't when the company is listed as "CONFIDENTIAL".

I have been on almost all of the websites, Monster, Indeed, Hotjobs, Jobing, Jobs.com, findlocaljobsnow, and most if not all are jobs that have already been filled, not available, posted on other sites... is there one that is a true job getter?

This site is on the Texas WorkForce Commission's website. I figure it must be okay. I don't know. For a year I had a #155 PONGO-made resume on it and have heard nothing. Today I posted a $289 ResumeWriters-made resume replacement on it. I'm ahoping!

Terrible site! It requires you to join other sites before you can apply for a job, plus hides the employers name.
This is site is a scam!

I think it is great you can find jobs. But I think it sucks that you get redirected to another site. Which you have to join and register to apply. Seems like they found another way for alot of red tape and paper work. But with a computer keyboard instead. I thought applying online would be easier than going to places and filling out apps. Indeed makes it hard.

I have gotten the best results from Indeed, where I have several engines working. Many are company specific, others are city specific, and some are more general and only specific to the state. I get lots of duplication of course.
One the main problems I have is that the field I'm in uses the same terms as IT, but it's not IT, and so I get lots of IT job hits, for which I'm not qualified, nor particularly interested in.

All online job listing sites make the same claim of being the site that will get you noticed or hired. The first major problem is most links attached to the job listing has an automated response and the Second major problem is no follow-up is made by the employer most of the time. If these companies spend just a little time screening the responses, they just might begin to put well qualified people to work.

Indeed is THE BEST job site to be searching as it is an "aggregator" meaning it pulls from ALL the other sites as well as from companies own websites. As someone in the recruiting business for over 15 yrs I can tell you this is the site I myself use when looking for a job.

I have never obtained a job as a result of searching indeed but I have found the best job leads. It is worth creating a profile because it tracks everytime you view a job posting or apply for a job and you can also make notes on the posting. This helps to eliminate jobs that you have already seen or weeded out. It uses monsters, and others data bases for the most comprehensive listing of jobs that I have found on the internet thus far.

I just want a job search engine in which real jobs are being posted and you actually get a response. I get tired of applying and reapplying and then the qualifications are so high not many people can reach that level. I wish I could find a job that would just give me a chance. I am a LVN and over the middle age mark. I just want to find a job that is always being passed on to the younger folks when I have much knowledge, but not many leads.
