Due to our consistent growth and prosperity, we are looking to fill a key Staff Specialist/Governance Analyst role within the Technology division of M&T Bank.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
This staff Specialist position is responsible for managing governance key processes and projects within Network Computing. Specific processes include security patching, application code management, disaster recovery testing and Corporate Technology Standards life-cycle. They will also manage a variety of projects providing highly analytical consulting and leadership in identifying and implementing new uses of information technologies.
Manage the security patch process for all distributed infrastructure services owned by network Computing
Responsible for the management of application codes supported by Network Computing
Provide support for disaster recovery activities for distributed infrastructure services supported within Network Computing to ensure services are recoverable and in compliance
Development, approval, publication, and communication of departmental and Technology Standards and Procedures
Provide technical product ownership for reporting and audit tools used within Network Computing. Includes assisting in selection and implementation decisions, as well as providing ongoing technical support and product ownership coordination
Capacity planning for distributed infrastructure services supported within Network Computing
Manage Network Computing projects as required. Provide highly analytical consulting and leadership in identifying and implementing new uses of information technologies. May include playing a lead role in due diligence, cost/benefit analysis or business study activities
Perform and oversee basic to complex systems analysis and design
Must be able to direct and monitor resources and coordinate development tasks on small to large scope projects
Prepare thorough, clear technical/functional specifications and updates to documentation as required
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Two to four years college in a technical field of study and 5+ years experience in a related Network computing environment
Knowledge of application development support software and hardware platforms, along with a diverse technical background in distributed computing environments
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively present to the target audience
Excellent analytical, organizational, and time management skills
Ability to handle multiple tasks on a variety of assignments
Excellent project management skills
Must possess a very good working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet and databases
Demonstrates a high aptitude for complex problem analysis and resolution
IDEAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge of various M&T Bank compliance systems, such as LDRPS, Control Path, Exception Tracking System, etc.
General understanding of ITIL Framework
General understanding of M&T Bank Technology Standards and Procedures
General understanding of distributed systems best practices
