Location: Chicago, IL7 MonthsThe Specialist is a Business Analyst role, crucial in creating and maintaining thecritical partnership between business needs and technology delivery. The Specialist serves as the conduit between the customer community (business) and the project/technical teams through which requirements flow. Strong analytical and product management skills are required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into requirements while working within the boundaries of the PLM methodology. The Analyst will work closely with the Business Partner and Subject Matter Expert(s) in the definition, testing, training, implementation, and support of requirements. - Strong facilitation and interpersonal skills. Must be able to elicit requirements from various personalities across organizational and geographical boundaries. - Proven ability to critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interface effectively, gather information, convey concepts and offer persuasive alternatives. - Strong documentation skills; proven ability to write documentation for requirements analysis (e.g. reporting), customization specifications, test cases, users guides, and custom training materials. - Demonstrated success in working on many activities concurrently. - Strong attention to quality of deliverables; understands the necessity of project standards and applies them consistently. - Proactively initiates, develops, and maintains effective working relationships with team members, project leads (e.g., tech, training, testing), and end-users. - Proven ability to trace and test requirements as well as manage defect resolution.
