GUI Specialist - User Interface Specialist - GUI - Software

Located in the heart of New York, we are looking for a highly motivated and team oriented z/OS specialist. You will be responsible for supporting all projects involving z/OS platforms and provide technical pre-sales, consulting, and development to all of our customers. What you need for this position:
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or IT related discipline

You must have 5+ years of experience in the following:

- Installing and configuring infrastructure and/or application software in a wide range of complex small, medium, and enterprise environments.
- In-depth knowledge of z/OS operating system, including Rexx, ISPF, LPARs, JCL, etc. as well as familiarity with: Microsoft Windows, Linux/Unix, and OS400.
- (2) two or more of the following application servers: Apache Tomcat, Websphere, JBOSS, and Weblogic.
- (2) Two or more of the following database systems: MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle and DB2.
- Experience with FTP configuration and troubleshooting.
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of TCP/IP, SNA, MQ, SSL and underlying protocol concepts.


Will be highly considered if you also have proficiency in the following:
- SFTP, SSH, FTP/s, AS/2
- Other managed file transfer product experience (Connect:Direct, SSH, Tumbleweed, GlobalScape, Acellion, etc.)
- Experience with Firewall configuration and troubleshooting
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of encryption standards (DES, 3DES, PGP, etc.) and underlying concepts
- Active Directory and another LDAP such as Sun Directory Server, IBM or Novell is highly desirable.
