• Senior Technical Writer who can work independently and who has good interpersonal skills for interacting with Development and Marketing organizations. Will be lead by/partner with a principal writer on the project.
• FrameMaker skills (7.2 or higher - required).
• Madcap Flare v4 experience helpful, but not required. Other HAT experience desirable, if not Flare.
• Experience developing both hard-copy software manuals (PDF) and online Help (compiled HTML Help - CHM files, including context-sensitive F1 help) for a technical audience.
• Using engineering specifications, bug reports, and hands-on experience with the software, update existing software manuals and Help to document new features and bug fixes (they wont be writing anything from scratch - just updating existing content).
• Ability and willingness to work with SMEs and project managers in India (95% of the developers are located there; may require some early morning or evening telephone meetings).
• Networking and/or process control documentation experience helpful, but not required.
