Disney Online Studios produces online casual games for kids and families. We produce games based on popular Disney characters, develop original titles and publish games across Disney Online’s network of websites including Disney.com, Disney’s Game Café and Game Kingdom Online. Disney Online Studios also maintains a full-featured online community for casual game players including digital rewards, points and leaderboards. Our goal is to produce the number 1 casual gaming destination for kids and families.
Products in the team’s portfolio can be found at Disney.com (including Disney Xtreme Digital) and includes, Disney’s Toontown Online – the award winning and first massively multiplayer game for kids and families, Disney’s Game Kingdom Online – a subscription product for kids 3 – 8, Playhouse Disney Preschool Time Online – a subscription product for preschoolers, Disney Connection – a broadband destination offered through select high-speed Internet service providers, and downloadable games.
Position Summary
We are looking for an experienced, creative and motivated Associate Community Manager.
The ASSOCIATE Community Manager - Disney Online Studios - will partner with the Senior Community Manager and be responsible to co-manage all community moderation and in game events programs. The role will be instrumental in:
- Work closely with the Senior Community Manager located in North Hollywood, CA to manage, maintain and improve all community moderation programs
- Assist in the development of in-game event programs for each product
- Help maintain, develop and execute all community moderation related programs in conjunction with the SCM, Customer Service, Community team members, and other Associate Community Managers
- Effectively report between various departments, communicating moderation, event issues, successes, challenges.
- Execute agreed tactics to build and enhance a safe, world class moderation system for DOL
- Help to manage community reporting tools, quality assurance and audit community training programs
- Work in tandem with other ACMs, and SCM to improve, enhance, fix bugs, for community toolset
- Analyze reports and evaluate the effectiveness of moderation, and in game programs
- Moderate products on an ongoing basis to keep abreast of needs for the improvement of moderation tools/filters
General Projects
- Identify and follow consumer and market trends, gaming trends, cultural drivers and competitive activity
- Ongoing improvement in to internal toolsets, filtering systems.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 2+ years community management or related experience, online preferred
- Management of an internal or external moderation team
- At least two years of online, PC gaming or entertainment experience
- Experience marketing kid's products preferred
- College degree, preferably in a related field (ie: Mass Communication, Child Development)

- Ability to manage multiple projects, set priorities and meet deadlines

- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to develop, maintain and adjust systems to support business objectives
- Team player with experience working with moderation team
- Excellent organizational and project management skills
- Online marketing experience preferred
- High proficiency in MS Word/Excel/PowerPoint
- Understanding of the Disney brand a plus.
