Summary
Provides technical support on all the department's security programs and processes. This includes, but is not limited to, leading projects, sharing knowledge with colleagues, managing relationships with other areas, processing computer access forms, password resets, security model updates, logonid terminations, monitoring and reviewing access violation and security maintenance reports, and other duties as assigned. Analyzes business and/or technical requirements to formulate a project plan. Performs risk assessment and scenarios to mitigate risk while still meeting required timelines. Performs analyses and issues resolutions of business and project requirements.
Responsibilities
With limited direction assists with the development, implementation, monitoring and maintenance of all information security standards, policies, and procedures. Ensures compliance to corporate Information Security policies department briefing sessions, security education, and other methods as appropriate. Provides consultative services to department management and IT project teams to help raise awareness of Information Security issues and concerns affecting the corporation. Participates in the system/application development life cycle to ensure Information Security processes and concepts are incorporated into all applicable systems and software. Ensures appropriate and timely responses are provided on all Audit concerns, and participates in the timely resolution of open audit concerns. Acts a mentor to less experienced colleagues. Provides Information Security training and/or briefings to all employee levels as required. Provides On-Call support for assigned systems under the responsibility of the Department. Demonstrates a broad knowledge of the multiple environments. Recognizes the inter-relationships between the various functional components of the systems and the business, technical and project requirements. May coordinate and schedule project assignments within the team environment as needed. Performs other duties as assigned by management.
Education/Experience
Four year college degree and 4 or more years professional experience or 6 or more years professional experience is required. Requires a strong technical background in various information security and related products and concepts including, but not limited to, mainframe products like ACF2, PC-based Windows applications, LAN/WAN operating systems (NT and NOVELL), Internet/Intranet (firewalls, WEB sites, and browsers), virus controls, AS/400, and Tandem. Unix System Administration.
Preferred Skills: Working knowledge of Unix file structures and directories. Professional certification(s) preferred. Extensive customer relation experience and customer Help Desk experience preferred.
