Great opportunity for growth and advancement! We are looking for a Director of Rehabilitation Services for a 150 bed hospital in a growing community 60 miles north of Los Angeles. Experience is necessary in management of rehabilitation department.
The Director of Rehabilitation Services will be responsible for the leadership and direction of all activities and functions within the Rehabilitation Services Department. This includes physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy and related functions. This key leader will also develop, implement and control the provision of therapeutic patient care in accordance with the policies of the hospital and the directives of the medical staff.
The department includes acute care, Acute Rehab Unit and Outpatient Therapy. The ideal candidate will have experience in growing the outpatient business. Opportunity to grow the business with opening of new outpatient clinic and participate in the build out of new 200 bed hospital in 2 years.

Our facilities have a prominent reputation in the community for providing excellent rehabilitation services. You manage the Rehab operation in the hospital and the free-standing outpatient clinic. Our facilities, hiring and training staff and ensuring accurate evaluation and treatment of residents. We will count on you to track financial performance and to ensure excellence in all that Rehab provides. Responsibilities: Ensure the timely evaluation and treatment of residents in the most effective and efficient manner possible; perform resident treatments based on area of licensure: PT, OT or SLP.
Perform management functions such as hiring, evaluating and disciplining employees; provide training, direction and guidance for the Rehab staff. Plan and implement clinical programs; conduct in-service programs and train Rehab Coordinators on safety-related issues.
Manage the Medicare denial process in conjunction with the Area Manager for Rehab. Monitor the financial performance of facilities and develop plans and programs to improve performance. Conduct job responsibilities in accordance with the Company's Code of Business Conduct, the Corporate Compliance Agreement, appropriate professional standards and applicable state/federal laws. Qualifications:
Ability to motivate others to achieve, raise morale and increase productivity. Three years experience in Short-term care clinical and management environment, but a qualified candidate with less experience will be considered. Ability to build trust and is patient and responsive to client's needs.
Committed to meeting quality and compliance standards. Basic understanding of physiological functions and processes as they relate to issues of patient care. Familiarity with issues of compliance for state and federal regulations. Experience in health promotion, maintenance, and prevention. Ability to create an integrated care environment that is efficient, safe and cost effective. Good diagnostic and clinical skills. Understanding of how patient's signs and symptoms related to a disease process. Must possess a valid and current license to practice Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy or Speech Language Pathology in the State of California.
