Prestigious Fortune 500 Company, located in New York City, is currently seeking a Lead Linux Engineer with strong Sun and Veritas experience, as well as experience in the Trading/Capital Markets Industry.

Responsibilities:
Lead a team of Linux//Solaris/UNIX Engineers
Perform Linux/Solaris architecture, administration, automated installation, and performance tuning
Strong VCS
Architect and implement fault tolerant systems
Lead other IT engineers to research and implement new technologies
Create and maintain system documentation


Experience and Skills
Team Lead and/or Managenent experience.
5 - 10 years Linux/Solaris installation and administration
Experience with system and network performance tuning
High availability system setup and architecture exposure
SAN/NAS and Veritas Foundation Suite exposure
Background in networking architecture and troubleshooting
Ability to manage multiple projects and integrate new project requirements effectively
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Experience in supporting trading systems, third party and internally developed is desired
Exposure to relational databases is desired
Exposure to major trading exchanges is desired
